I lost access to my account, what can I do?

◻️ Losing access to your account might originate from different reasons. If you think your account is stolen or compromised, try to secure your account if you can, and contact us.
◻️ However, this might take some time, if you have a verified email set in your account settings, we can send you an email with a sign in link that will automatically give you access to your account. Go to the regular sign in page and look for "Recover account with email" option or you can click here. Keep in mind to use this feature, your account has to have a verified email that was verified at least 2 weeks ago. Even if an attacker changes your account email, you can still use your old email for this process.
◻️ If you don't have a verified email, but still set a preferred email at least 2 months ago, we would consider it as an established email since it hasn't been changed for a long time. So you can use "Save account with email" option if your email qualifies for these conditions.
◻️ Other linked social accounts help in these times, this is why we are always suggesting to have multiple linked social accounts and a verified email.
◻️ If you signed in on one of our apps & games, you can use that session to access your account. Most of our apps have embedded browser with auto-authorization for your Ananass Apps account. Meaning most of the buttons you will click in our app will get you access to our website with your account (use buttons like "Ananass Apps Account Settings", "Notifications", "Ananass Apps Profile"). From there, you can change your settings or link a social account to widen your access options.

Can I recover my account with email?

Yes. Go to the regular sign in page and look for "Recover account with email" option or you can click here. This is why we suggest having a preferred email set in your settings always. Keep in mind there some limitations to this feature, check the limits here.

How frequent I can use the "recover account with email" option, what are the limits?

This feature is not intended for the frequent usage. Use this option only if you have no other option to access your account. Limits:
◻️ A preferred email already has to be set at least once in your account settings before using this option.
◻️ Your account can't be in the last stage of deletion. This feature will not bring your deleted account back.
◻️ One of these conditions must be met: the email must be verified 2 weeks ago and stay unchanged for 2 weeks, or a non-verified email must stay unchanged for 2 months.
◻️ This option also checks your email change history to determine the latest usable email that fits these time conditions. Emails do not fit the conditions will be ignored. Latest email that fits the conditions will be used and this do not have to be your current set email.
◻️ User account was created at least 2 weeks ago.
◻️ Last usage of this option is at least 24 hours ago.
◻️ Every email link can be used only with the given pin code. This code is included in the sent email.
◻️ Every email link has to be used in the first 24 hours after being sent.
◻️ Do not abuse this option if not needed, use social account sign in options if you can.

What can I do to secure my account?

◻️ Check your linked social accounts in your profile settings. If there is any social account not belonging to you, unlink it.
◻️ Check if your preferred email is still correct and verified in your profile settings. You can find your email change history in your profile settings, look for any strange entries.
◻️ You can go to your profile settings and under the "Security Options", choose the "Log Out From Every Device" option. This will revoke all authorized sessions to your account. Then you can make a fresh log in knowing that only signed in person is currently you. It is harder for an attacker to gain a second access to your account after this.
◻️ Our sign in system mainly uses social accounts to grant authorization. This means that anyone who can access to your social accounts (Google, Apple, Microsoft etc.) will have access to your Ananass Apps account. Make sure you are the only one who uses these accounts and change their passwords if you suspect anything. If you suspect a specific social account to be compromised, you can unlink that social account from your profile settings and link another social account instead.
◻️ Another important action is to make sure that the attacker didn't changed any of your other account settings or made any account deletion requests.
◻️ Check your notifications from "Messages" button on the top right corner in the profile menu, make sure also checking your email inbox. If we have not sent you any specific alerts, at least we can eliminate some scenarios.

Account Information:

What is a verified email and why do I need it?

A verified email is still your preferred email but it is verified by an email link we sent to you. To start this process, go to your account settings and click "Verify Email" near your "preferred email" section. This will send you a verification email with a link, once you click it you will have a verified email.
This will come in handy if you lose access to your account. Because we log these emails, even if an attacker changes your email to something else, we will know the right person to reach. Also we will send you a warning email if anyone tries to change your current email or requests an account deletion. Having a verified email longer than 2 weeks gives you a new feature of accessing your account through an email link. You can request this kind of access from the "Recover account with email" option in the sign in page.

Privacy Settings:

I don't want to recieve any emails from Ananass Apps.

Ananass Apps can send verification emails or security emails if needed. But we always value your decision on these issues and of course there might be situations where a user can accidentally set someone else's email address as their preferred email address.
◻️ You can change your email preferences from your profile settings. You have to sign in for this.
◻️ You can always fully block your email address from recieving further emails using the "unsubscribe" button on the bottom of every email we send. You don't have to have an account and you don't have to sign in for this action.

I accidentally blocked my email by pressing unsubscribe button.

You can change your email block from the same link we sent you. So using the same "unsubscribe" button from every email, you can also revert your email preferences back to original. Also if you didn't choose the "fully block" option, you can still change your email preferences from your profile settings. Keep in mind these links can only be used for 1 year. If you exceeded this time limit, you can contact our support.
